Pellet production in the USA in the first quarter of 2019 reached 2.149m tones, around 17% more than in the same period of the preceding year.

In the view of the further expansion of production capacity, US pellet production has reached the 2.1m ton mark for the 3d consecutive quarter since mid-2018.

In accordance with the figures of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) at the U.S. Department of Energy, the leading factor of the high growth was an increase in the production of industrial pellets, which grew up by around 20% to 1.716m tones. The production of high quality pellets for the heating market rose by 6.5 % to 432,912 tones.
